Philip: I like the photo but didn't really love it. I want to see more attitude in your photo. It was pretty safe for me. It's not a secret that you have the looks, so what you need now is to bring some 'color' and personality into your photo. Overall still a good photo for me

Attempt to play something more risky
Matt: The cover's fine, but it's not memorable. The pose and styling work for the vibe of the magazine chosen, but there's not much to really catch the eye and draw a potential consumer in. Sure, there's a cute guy on the cover, but this round, we're going to have 9 cute guys on covers.
Matt: This is a fantastic cover. The styling is perfect; I love your hair and that stare is fantastic. The watermark blends into the shot so seamlessly that I almost didn't notice it, so it's definitely not distracting. This is just a great cover. Also, I love that outfit on you. Although, I'd love it even more on my bedroom floor.
Philip: I love this photo. I think the whole concept worked out well for you. I love the black background cause it makes you 'pop' out more. The styling is great. I love the 'fashion' in this photo. Great job!!

CHRIS COLFER should be more risky.
Matt: There was only one magazine cover with you on it by yourself and I'm happy you didn't choose that one. This spread works because it's better than any cover you had ready to use. Like Philip, I also like the story behind the shot. I love the way your facial expression enhances the vibe of your pose and the props in the shoot. This is very well-done. It's not the most impactful upon first glance, but the more you look at it, the more there is to like about it.
Philip: I love the futuristic element in this photo. Very interesting. Great fashion sense. I love the setting too. This is my favorite photo from you so far

Matt: I love this shot. If nothing else, it's interesting and I'll take that any day over a well-done, but boring shot. I do wish you hadn't had your arm amputated, but that's not a deal-breaker for me. I love the styling and I overall, I love this picture enough that I don't care if you had a usable cover instead (I didn't even bother looking).

Philip: You're a late. I wish you would've requested for extension, Jared. It's going to affect my ranking to you this week, honey. I love the styling. And you really look like a male supermodel in this photo. I think this photo needs something 'umph' to make sure it stand out more.
Matt: This shot was almost a day late in its submission, so I definitely have to take that into account when I do my rankings. This is a nice shot and I like your styling in it. The expression actually helps in this case because a straight face would have just made this a boring shot. Now, there's at least a little something to pique our interests.
Philip: This cover reminds me of Jensen's cover magazine. I think it was just okay for me. I think the cover is a little bit messy. Too many things distracted me from you. But, I think your eye contact in this photo is pretty good. Overall, it was an okay photo for me

Matt: Well, the intensity works for the style of magazine this is for. I do wish that we could see more of you because this is little more than a headshot. The hand reaching out is a nice touch, though. Also, all the text seems to be impeding on you a bit. It's almost like you're having to fight through all of the text to be seen and be the focus.
Philip: Josh!!! I think you misunderstood the concept of the photoshoot this week. You need to submit a MAGAZINE COVER or MAGAZINE SPREAD or CREATE YOUR OWN COVER. And your photo is just a regular photo from photoshoot. Too bad because it's a good photo. I love your eye contact. Your pose look very natural. But we want something relates to Magazine.

Matt: I appreciate the effort you put into making your own cover and it actually turned out nicely. I wish you would have chosen a pre-existing magazine name and used that in the creation of this cover so that we could comment on how well the photo relates to the brand, but that's not a big problem. You look like you could actually be on the cover of a magazine with a couple tweaks to your pose. Another step up from you this week.
Philip: I love the styling and your hairdo but the quality is a little bit off. The size was too small so we can't really see the detail in this photo. I like your face here but next time I want to see something more memorable than this photo

Matt: Hold on a sec, I'm going to go find my glasses... Damn... I can't find them. I guess I'll just have to squint. The small size of this photo aside, this is actually a nice cover. You're dressed very nicely and it's a solid pose for the cover. Not the most exciting, but it fits the brand and you look good while doing it. I also like the color combination of the clothes. With your age, this cover quickly could have looked like a prom date photo had the color combination not been just right.
